Sodium carbonate is a pH regulator and it can be used in cosmetics to raise the pH. It can also enhances the cleansing properties of cosmetics and provide gentle exfoliation which helps remove oils, dirt, and dead skin cells.
It can be used in products like soap bars, cleansers, exfoliators, shampoos, laundry detergent and conditioners.
Is Sodium Carbonate The Same As Sodium Bicarbonate?
Sodium carbonate and sodium bicarbonate are not the same thing!
Sodium carbonate is made up of sodium, carbon, and oxygen and it has the chemical formula Na2CO3. Sodium bicarbonate (also known as bicarbonate of soda) is made up of sodium, carbon, oxygen, and hydrogen, and it has the chemical formula NaHCO3.
